Dominion Stage presents Glorious!
A comedy by Peter Quilter that's a bit off-key
ARLINGTON, VA.-- Dominion Stage kicks off its 60th anniversary season with the witty Glorious! The joyful Florence Foster Jenkins had a passion for singing, but a voice of disastrous proportions that left audiences crying with laughter. Spinning from her bizarre recording sessions, unbelievable recitals and an ultimate triumph at New York's Carnegie Hall—this is a true, heart-warming story about a group of eccentric friends who lived their dreams. The local production is produced by Megan McGill and directed by Patrick M. Doneghy.
Glorious! will run weekends from September 25 to October 11, 2009, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the Gunston Arts Center--Theater One, located at 2700 S. Lang Street in Arlington. Seating is General Admission; Tickets are available online for pre-purchase at www.DominionStage.org. Reservations can be made online or by calling (703) 683-0502.
