Dominion Stage 2025 Playwright Competition
DEADLINE: 15 JULY 2025
Dominion Stage is pleased to announce that we are hosting our sixth annual playwright competition! To enrich our community and continue to be an inclusive place for new and continued education and personal development, we are looking for talented playwrights to submit their work.
Plays may be about any subject, but we are not looking for musicals at this time. The winning one-act playwright(s) will have their play produced by Dominion Stage as a free staged reading.
Dominion Stage will be putting on a fully staged production of the winning full-length play as the final show of our next season.

CONTEST RULES
1. Participation is open to all ages.
2. By submitting a one-act play entry/entries, the playwright is granting permission to Dominion Stage to stage a free script reading of their submission.
3. By submitting a full-length play entry/entries, the playwright is granting permission to Dominion Stage to produce 6 performances of their submission. The playwright will receive $1 per ticket sold as artistic compensation.
4. Entries should be an original, unpublished work.
5. Entries must be an original full-length play that is no longer than 2 hours in length, OR a one-act play that is NO LONGER THAN 60 minutes.
6. Submissions must be in PDF format.
7. Entries may be any genre except musical.
8. Entries must be received by the deadline (15 JULYÂ 2025) to be considered.
9. All entries are final.
